I live and die by UCLA Basketball. Almost nothing brings me more pleasure than a big Bruin win, in any sport. Having said that, nothing brings me more anxeity than watching them lose, especially to road teams they should slaughter. This was the case today, as they keep up their first half doldrums, and go down by 19 points in the second half. Miraculously, they come back from this huge deficit (not uncommon of these upstart Bruins). All this without our playmaker, and leader on the floor, Mr. Collison.
Yes, we lost by a nickel (mostly due to a couple of shots not falling, and the usual bricked free throws). But, if we are to survive in the tournament, we need to stop cream puffin' the first halves. Making an occasional free throw wouldn't hurt either.
You are still my team, always will be. And, oh by the way, coaches in polo shirts are for football. You are the next to step into Mr. Wooden's shoes. Dress like it.
